Miffed that you missed our FREE 'Morris' sessions over the past two weeks? Gutted that you haven't 'Given it a Go'? Piqued that your personal ambition was prevented? Distraught that you couldn't drag your friend along?

Don't despair. Come along to our regular practice sessions at The Playhouse, Eccles Road, Chapel-en-le-Frith every Monday from 8pm. We're a really friendly bunch* and will make you feel at home.

Wonderful 'Give Morris a Go' session at New Mills Festival last night with some very promising beginners. For anyone who would like to continue to discover their Inner Morris come along to our regular Monday night practice sessions from 8pm at The Playhouse, Chapel-en-le-Frith.

Can't waitHave you ever fancied having a go at Morris dancing? Well today is your chance at 'Give Morris a Go', which is taking place this evening at New Mills Town Hall. At the session, being run by Chapel Morris, you'll learn more about this truly English traditional dance and will then be able to give it a go. Sticks, hankies and refreshments will be provided so why not release your inner Morris!

Today also provides you with another opportunity to view some stunning art that is being exhibited in the windows of nearly 70 local shops and businesses as part of the Art Trail. Details of all the artists exhibiting, together with an Art Trail Map, are contained in the Festival Brochure and are also available on our website.

You can also view over 60 poems, from established poets to beginners, that are on display in shop windows and other locations throughout the town, as part of New Mills Poetry Trail. Make your shopping and strolling a bit more poetic during the Festival! Poetry Trail maps are available from shops and businesses taking part in the trail or you can download a copy from our website.

Finally, today also provides you with another opportunity to view a number of art exhibitions which are taking place over the Festival Fortnight. These include 'Wild about ceramics' at New Mills Library, Pete Kelly's 'Photo Encaustic Exhibition' at New Mills Golf Club and an art exhibition at Pulse Cafe. Finally, today also provides you with another opportunity to have a taster session at the Alternative Health Clinic.
