Virtual Buxton Day of Dance 2020 – Bakanalia Border Morris

Our intro video for the virtual Buxton Day of Dance! ? Highly polished (not) and with added child’s finger obscuring the screen that gives it that professional edge ?

A bit about Bakanalia Border Morris

Bakanalia Border Morris are a mixed Border Morris side based in Leicester who dance for pleasure and aim to preserve and develop the border morris tradition by entertaining and encouraging others to be involved.  Border Morris is a tradition from the English counties bordering Wales and is characterised by stick-clashing, the wearing of ‘rag-jackets’ and painted faces.

We perform all over the county and beyond, at village fetes, parish galas, pubs, seasonal festivals, weddings, celebrations and charities!

Anyone is welcome to come and give either dancing or playing an instrument a try – a sense of rhythm is helpful, but a sense of humour is most important! We have members of all ages from 3 counties!
