Buxton Day(s) of Dance – Application Form

Applications for Buxton Day(s) of Dance 2025 (*50th Anniversary Special) are now open.

Buxton Day(s) of Dance 2025 will be on Sat 19th July and Sun 20th July. As we will be in our 50th anniversary year we would like to make this an extra special event by adding in an extra day of dancing to increase the number of possible visitors. We have a daily limit of 15 visiting sides and like to create a mix of styles, new visitors, as well as welcoming back old friends. If your Morris side is interested in being part of the occasion (either on Sat or Sun, or both days) please complete our application form at the bottom of this page. We will use our sorting hat to sift through the applications and aim to confirm the final numbers by the end of February 2025.

Buxton Day of Dance is an annual feature of Buxton Festival Fringe so you are guaranteed a lively and inquisitive audience with the chance to make new dancing friends or renew old acquaintances. The event is entirely centred on Buxton, with relaxed walks between dance spots, and no coaches or travel required.

  • There is no charge
  • Sat 10.30 – c4.30pm, Sun 10.30am – c3.30pm
  • Lunch can be taken at any of the local inns, pubs, cafes, restaurants, hot potato stands and fish and chip shops. Or, if the weather is kind, have a picnic in the park.
  • Collections from previous Buxton Days of Dance have enabled us to support local charities.
